Migrating To Joomla
I’m in the process of transferring a static HTML site to a newJoomla! installation. I acquired the site a couple of months ago and immediately added Google Analytics to all 300 pages (manually!) to start tracking the traffic to the site. The main purpose was to determine how the site was currently performing, so that I could plan how I would develop it. I let the traffic stats accumulate for a little over a month.

On the one hand, Joomla is a fantastic content management system. On the other, getting extensions to work is a nightmare. Anyone who’s had to do anything over and above the default activity of publishing new articles with images in them will know how difficult it is to find an extension that does what you need it to do.
