The mention of Harringtom Brooks and Adsense in the same sentence still makes me shudder! My sites had nothing to do with credit/loans so of course no visitors were likely to click on these adverts. Which means wasted page impressions that bring my Adsense CTR way down.

The multiple adsense accounts question is often asked. Can you have several? According to Google:

No. Publishers are not permitted to maintain multiple AdSense accounts under the same payee name.

The bolding is mine in that quote. So it's simple, then. If you are running different companies to handle the revenue earned by different sites, then "you" can have multiple Adsense accounts. You just need to make sure that each account has a different payee name.

Don't fret, because it is very easy. However, you just need some basic guidelines to get you started. After adding Adsense to a few Wordpress blogs, you'll find that it becomes second nature. Or third, or something.

This Adsense trick might even be bordering on Adwords trick territory, but here goes anyway. When you create an Adwords advert, you can specify what URLs you want your ad to appear on in the content network. In other words, if you know of a very popular site in your niche, you could try and direct some of its traffic to your site by specifying that your ad will appear on that site only

So you're sick of the Muslim dating site advert that Google Adsense, in its wisdom, keeps displaying on certain pages of your "make money easy" blog and finally decide to do something about it. You have two options:
1. Change your content to give the very clear message to Google that your site is as far away from the Muslim singles dating game as you can get. You can do this by using more "keywords" in your content and emphasizing them with the appropriate markup (, , headings - you know the drill).
2. Use the competitive ad filter in adsense.
