Hi Daniel

In my experience, the PR remains. This makes sense to me, as PR depends on links, so providing that you look after all inbound links, the PR passed by them should be the same. Many people neglect those inbound links though, and lose the PR that once got passed to the site's pages. Not all links are to the home page, so it's important to look after the links to internal pages (e.g. with redirects, or creating a version of the original page).

Hi, I am very glad that you have posted this article because I have Learned a lot. But I have just one question to ask if that's ok, will dropped domains PR comeback or they will just be like ordinary domains that you need to work all over again for the PR to comback?

thank you.

Nice article. There is so little about DD around that when I find one like this I feel the urge to link to it. Please drop me a mail or PM me on Sitepoint if you identify the best place on my due diligence pages to link to this from.

Glad you like it Joey!

Something I should have pointed out, and maybe I'll add it to the article, is that the high traffic domains tend to attract higher bids so they can be a little intimidating. If you keep working down the list into low traffic territory, you can bag an expired domain sometimes for only a few dollars. It's a good way to get started and get some experience without the high risk of an expensive purchase.

Liked the article, lots of info. I'm not some massive domain name owner, just a guy who works at walmart. I've recently been checking out tdnam all the time. And this is a nice article I just bookmarked. Good Job and thanks.
